The International Society of Research on Emotion (ISRE(

The International Society of Research on Emotion includes top researchers from a variety of fields such as psychology, sociology, philosophy and organizational behavior. The society meets once every two years for an international conference and publishes Emotion Review. Society membership is based on publication in the field and recommendation by current members.

The International Consortium for Cross-Cultural Research on Affect

The International Consortium comprises researchers who seek to encourage cross-cultural research of emotion based on componential emotion theory. A central project of this network is the construction of an "atlas of emotion terms" based on the significant components of emotion terms in different cultures (languages). This is the GRID project. The International Center for Research of Emotions is an exclusive partner in this project through its contribution to the study of the significant components of Hebrew emotion terms.

NIMH Center for the Study of Emotion & Attention

This center unites a number of research laboratories located around the world and is run by leading researchers in the field. These labs focus on behavioral and psychological research of human emotion, with the emphasis on the importance of emotion in motivation as it is expressed in attention processes and channeling of responses.

Culture and Emotion Lab - Stanford University

This lab focuses on cross-cultural comparative study of emotion and affect through the use of a wide range of research methods and with the goal of advancing the understanding of cultural influences on affect both for the advancement of science in the field and for applied clinical needs.

Health, Emotion and Behavior Laboratory - Yale University

This lab is run by Prof. Peter Salovey (an honorary friend of the Center and a partner in studies run by the Center's researchers). Prof. Salovey is a distinguished motion researcher and the one to first advocate the concept of emotional intelligence. The lab's goal is to make psychology applicable through focusing on emotional abilities and capacities, cognition in the context of health and behavior as these are related to the prevention of disease.

Arvid Kappas Emotion Research

This blog deals with different aspects of the study of emotion and includes current knowledge related to study of emotion, including journals on the topic, prominent researchers around the globe and discussions related to the study of emotion. The blog is run by Prof. Arvid Kappas (an honorary friend of the Center), a leading researcher from Jacobs University of Bremen, Germany.

Social Psychophysiology Laboratory

This laboratory studies social psychological aspects of emotions. It is run by Professor Ursula Hess (an honorary friend of the Center and a partner in many studies run by the Center's researchers), a leading researcher in the field.
